Harold was born on March 1st, 1909 in Flintshire and his baptism took place on April 1st, 1909 in Bistre.1  Harold's father was Richard Thomas Jones and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Eddowes.  His maternal grandparents were <unknown> and Elizabeth Eddowes. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, George, Allen, Arthur, Percy and Margaret.  He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Margaret.  He died at the age of 61 on November 30th, 1970.
