Arthur's father was Richard Thomas Jones and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Eddowes. His maternal grandparents were <unknown> and Elizabeth Eddowes. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, George, Allen, Harold, Percy and Margaret. He was the sixth oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Margaret. He died at 9 months old in June 1911 in Wrexham.¹
