James Albert Johnson

James was born in September 1895 in Maryland (MD).¹ James' father was (John) William Johnson and his mother was Ellen Nora Mather. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Cowley Mather and Elizabeth Cooper. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Hannah and Stella. He was the second oldest of the five known children. He had a half-brother named Charles.
