Benjamin (Bennett) Isherwood

Benjamin, known as Bennett, was born in 1791 in Quarlton and his baptism took place on June 5th, 1791 at Turton Chapel.¹²

Bennett's father was James Isherwood and his mother was Margaret (Peggy) Fairbrother. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William, Henry, Peter, Robert, James, Mary, Anne, Betty, Alice, Peggy and Deborah. He was the nineth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 56 in September 1847 in Bury.³
