Anne was born in 1782 in Edgworth and her baptism took place on April 21st, 1782 at Turton Chapel.1  Anne's father was James Isherwood and her mother was Margaret (Peggy) Fairbrother. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William, Henry, Peter, Robert, James, Bennett, Mary, Betty, Alice, Peggy and Deborah.  She was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.
