George was born in January 1861 in Victoria (Au).

Birth Notes

George's father was Samuel Hughes and his mother was Mary Brereton. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Brereton and Martha Hughes. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Enoch, Thomas, Harriett, Martha, Sarah and Annie. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 1 on August 9th, 1862 in Victoria (Au).
