Martha Hopley

Martha's father was William Hopley and her mother was Mary Manley. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Hopley and Margaret Richards. She had a brother and four sisters, named James, Jane, Mary, Sarah and Ann. She had an adopted brother named Samuel.

  According to the will of her father, Martha must have married a Hughes, she had a son Thomas and daughters Mary and Sarah Jane. Mary was left £150. Sarah Jane was left £75. Thomas only got £35. Martha and daughter Mary were also left the cottage garden and croft.
