Jane Hopley

Jane was born in June 1828 in Shocklach and her baptism took place there on June 20th, 1828.¹

Jane's father was William Hopley and her mother was Mary Manley. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Hopley and Margaret Richards. She had a brother and four sisters, named James, Mary, Sarah, Ann and Martha. She had an adopted brother named Samuel. She died at the age of 42 on March 25th, 1871 in Chester. Her burial was in March 1871 at St. Marys (Broughton).²³

General Notes
- According to her fathers will, Jane had four children choldren, Mary, Anne, Edward and George Thomas Jackson whom were left £50 each. Jane was already deceased when her father wrote his will.
  
  Burial records suggest that Jane and Robert also had a son and two daughters that died as infants: Sarah (died 5 Jan 1854, 10mo) and Martha (died 5 Jan 1869, 10 mo) and Joseph (died 27 Jan 1871, 10mo). All died in January, 10 months.
