Anne was born in 1792 in Worthenbury and her baptism took place there on January 8th, 1792.1  Anne's father was Thomas Hopley and her mother was Ann Pritchard.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Catherine Lewis. She had eight brothers and a sister, named William, John, Thomas, James, Robert, Daniel, Peter, John and Jane.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.

‌Anne and John were married in a religious ceremony on September 27th, 1821 in Hanmer.2   They had a son named John.
