John Heaton

John was born in 1833 in Little Bolton and his baptism took place on April 7th, 1833 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

John's father was Edmund Heaton and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsy) Mather. His maternal grandparents were Joseph (Joshua) Mather and Mary Thorp. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, Hannah, Mary and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the six children.
