Elizabeth was born in April 1848 in Sharples and her baptism took place on June 4th, 1848.¹

Elizabeth's father was Abraham Heapy and her mother was Catherine Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Martha (Matty) Ramsden. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Abraham, Samuel, Samuel, Sarah, Martha, Elizabeth and Elizabeth. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John, George, Ann and Sarah. She died at the age of 1 in June 1849 in Sharples. Her burial was on June 10th, 1849 at St. Paul's (Astley Bridge).²³
