Henry was born in 1840 in Tottington.¹

Birth Notes

Henry's father was James Heap and his mother was Hannah Mather. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Ann Entwistle. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, William, Richard, John, James, Alice and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 2 in 1842 in Holcombe.²
