Catherine (Kate) Elliott

Catherine, known as Kate, was born in March 1846 in Little Bolton.¹

Kate's father was William Elliott and her mother was Ellen Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Geffrey (Jeffery) Mather and Catherine Gregory. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William, Frederick, John, Elizabeth, Alice and Mary. She was the third oldest of the eight children.
