Sarah was born in March 1854 in Wrexham.1  Sarah's father was Edmund (Edwin) Harry Eddowes and her mother was Mary Dawson.  Her paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Whitfield; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Dawson and Mary Rhodes. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Edmund, John and Lucy.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 36 on August 30th, 1890 in Birkenhead.  Her burial was in August 1890 at the Flaybrick Memorial Gardens.2 3
