Hannah Eastwood

Hannah was born in May 1789 in Meltham and her baptism took place there on May 31st, 1789.¹

Hannah's father was George Eastwood and her mother was Elizabeth Woodhead.  Her maternal grandparents were John Woodhead and Hannah Scover. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John, George, Jonas, Rebecca, Priscilla, Mary and Martha.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She had a half-brother named James.  She died at the age of 72 on July 4th, 1861.

‌Hannah and Jonas were married in a religious ceremony in 1817 in Almondbury.²   They had a son named Matthew.
