Sarah Elizabeth Doxey

Sarah was born in March 1880 in Droylsden.¹

Sarah's father was Henry Doxey and her mother was Mary Ann Dooley. Her paternal grandparents were John Doxey and Sarah Worthington; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Dooley and Bridget Costello. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Frank, Joseph, John, Hannah, Clara and Florence. She was the oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother named Walter.

- Sarah was "Paralysed from Childhood" according to 1901 census.
  
  A Sarah Doxey did get married around Manchrster 1899, but not this one, who was still single in 1901.
