John Doxey

John was born in 1837 in Patricroft.¹

- b. Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire, according to 1851 & 1861 census.
  Born Patricroft according to 1871 census

John's father was Thomas Doxey and his mother was Hannah Wimston. He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Sarah and Mary. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 68 in 1905 in Ashton-under-Lyne.²
