William and Dorothy married at Goosnargh, and were still there in 1841.
William was a Medical Practitioner on all the UK baptisms (i.e. 1833-40). In 1841, William was a Suregon and not from Lancashire.
The family were on the June 1841 UK Census, and later 1841 Charles Aaron Crosland was born 1st Dec 1841 in New Work. The family must have emigrated about July or August 1841 before Dorothy was too heavily pregnant.
In 1851, William now 39 was a Physician in New York.
