Arabella was born in April 1842 in Huddersfield.1  Arabella's father was Edward Crosland and her mother was Louisa Lunn.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Crosland and Mary (Mercy) Beaumont. She had three brothers and a sister, named Benjamin, James, Edward and Louisa.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Mary.  She died at the age of 86 in June 1928 in Leeds.2
