John Crook

John was born in October 1768 in Tonge-with-Haulgh and his baptism took place on October 23rd, 1768 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

John's father was John Crook and his mother was Rachel Kay. His paternal grandparents were John Crook and Margaret Sharples; his maternal grandparents were William Kay and Elizabeth Shaw. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, James, Alice, Alice and Mary. Alice and John were twins. He had a half-sister named Ann. He died at 7 months old in May 1769 in Bolton. His burial was on May 22nd, 1769 in Bolton.²
