Alice Crook

Alice was born in October 1768 in Tonge-with-Haulgh and her baptism took place on October 23rd, 1768 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Birth Notes

Alice's father was John Crook and her mother was Rachel Kay. Her paternal grandparents were John Crook and Margaret Sharples; her maternal grandparents were William Kay and Elizabeth Shaw. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, John, James, Alice and Mary. Alice and John were twins. She had a half-sister named Ann. She died at 5 months old in March 1769 in Tonge-with-Haulgh. She was buried on March 21st, 1769 at Turton Chapel.²
