Charlotte was born in 1843 in Darcy Lever.¹

Birth Notes

Charlotte's father was Abraham (Alexander) Crook and her mother was Mary Ann Clegg. Her paternal grandparents were William Crook and Betty Nelson. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Elizabeth, Ellen and Margaret. She was the third oldest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas, William, Agnes, Mary, Harriet and Annie.
