Elizabeth's father was Abraham Collings and her mother was Sarah Ann Asten. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Collins and Ann Mather. She had a brother and three sisters, named Ephriam, Mary, Amelia and Sarah. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 5 in September 1863 R Rossendale. Her burial was on September 19th, 1863 in Newchurch in Rossendale.²¹
