Abraham is probably the son of Abraham and Mary Collings (or Collins) of Haslingden, Woollen Weavers, who were both 62 and living at Lower Fold, next to Cowpe in 1841.
In 1823, Abraham was a dyer when he married Ann Mather at Bury. He had a (assumed) brother Edmund Collins who was witness.
In 1841, Abraham and Ann Collings (38 & 40) were at Cowpe, Rossendale, Bury with Elizabeth (15), Abraham (14) and Mary Ann (13).
In 1844, Abraham Collings of Cowpe died aged 41 and was buried at Newchurch in Rossendale. Elizabeth died in 1849, aged 23 and is also buried there.
In 1851, Ann Collings (Wid, 52) was still at Coupe (i.e Cowpe) with son Abraham (22) and two lodgers.
