In 1851, John (13) was with his parents Abner and Sarah and family at Lees Road, Oldham.
24 Feb 1856, John Buckley, son of Abner Buckley married Jane Field, daughter of Betty Field. Both were spinners living at Bottom of the Moor (Bottom 'oth Moor). Although named Jane "Field", the mother's maiden name is recorded as Peel for all their childrens births.
In 1861, John, a self-acting Spinning (Cotton) Mule Winder and Jane (23 & 27) were at Spencer Street, Oldham above Town with 3 children and Sarah Buckley (71, Widow), his mother.
In 1871, John and Jane (35 & 40) had Emma (15), Abner (12), Sarah (9) and Isaac (3).
John and Jane were married in a religious ceremony on February 24th, 1856 in Manchester.2
