Ann was born in 1751 in Halliwell and her baptism took place on February 10th, 1751 at St. Mary (Deane).1  Ann's father was Arthur Bromiley and her mother was Mary Taylor. She had a brother and a sister, named Arthur and Esther.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Mary, Jenny, Happy and Alice.
