Sir William Brereton

William was born on September 13th, 1604 in Brereton cum Smethwick and his baptism took place in 1604 in Manchester.

  Brereton was the son of William Brereton and was baptised at Collegiate Church, Manchester, in 1604.

William's father was Lord William Brereton and his mother was Margaret Holland. His paternal grandparents were Sir William Brereton MP and Jane Warburton. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Robert, William, John and Mary. He died at the age of 56 on April 7th, 1661 in Croydon. His burial was in April 1661 in Newcastle-under-Lyme.¹¹
