Thomas was born in 1632. Thomas' father was Sir William Brereton and his mother was Susanna Booth. His paternal grandparents were Lord William Brereton and Margaret Holland. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Katherine, Frances and Susanna. He had a half-sister named Cicely. He died at the age of 42 on January 9th, 1674. He was buried in 1674 in Cheadle.
