Randle's father was William Brereton and his mother was Mary Stanyer.  His paternal grandparents were Randle Brereton and Sarah Buckley. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Randle, Abraham, James, George, Hannah, Sarah, Mary, Emma and Annie.  He was the oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 1 in August 1831 in Astbury.  He was buried on August 18th, 1831 in Astbury.¹
