Hannah, known as Ann, was born in September 1822 in Bridgemere and her baptism took place on September 15th, 1822 in Wybunbury.1 2  Ann's father was James Brereton and her mother was Hannah Morrey.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Brereton and Jane Whittingham. She had six brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, John, George, William, Daniel, Mary and Elizabeth.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
