George was born in February 1787 in Acton by Nantwich and his baptism took place there on February 11th, 1787.1  George's father was Thomas Brereton and his mother was Hannah Vicars.  His paternal grandparents were John Brereton and Maria (Mary) Blackmore. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Randle, Thomas, John, George, Ann, Elizabeth, Betty, Hannah, Sarah, Frances, Catherine and Jane.  He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen known children.  He died at 10 months old in December 1787 in Nantwich.  He was buried on December 9th, 1787 in Acton by Nantwich.2
