Elizabeth was born in March 1773 in Acton by Nantwich and her baptism took place there on May 17th, 1773.¹

Birth Notes

Elizabeth's father was Thomas Brereton and her mother was Hannah Vicars. Her paternal grandparents were John Brereton and Maria (Mary) Blackmore. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Randle, Thomas, George, John, George, Ann, Betty, Hannah, Sarah, Frances, Catherine and Jane. She was the third oldest of the thirteen known children.
