Catherine was born in March 1785 in Acton by Nantwich and her baptism took place there on March 20th, 1785.1  Catherine's father was Thomas Brereton and her mother was Hannah Vicars.  Her paternal grandparents were John Brereton and Maria (Mary) Blackmore. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Randle, Thomas, George, John, George, Ann, Elizabeth, Betty, Hannah, Sarah, Frances and Jane.  She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen known children.  She died at the age of 49 in January 1835 in Burland.  She was buried on January 19th, 1835 in Acton by Nantwich.1

‌Catherine and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on March 5th, 1811 in Acton by Nantwich witnessed by Hannah Brereton.1   They had a son named Thomas.  There are possibly more children.
