Sarah was born in 1883 in Beswick.1 Sarah's father was James Boothroyd and her mother was Alice Mitchell. Her paternal grandparents were William Boothroyd and Mary Stocks. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Walter, William, Mary and Alice. She was the second youngest of the six children.General Notes
