Mary Booth

Mary was born in 1811 in Tonge-with-Haulgh and her baptism took place on March 24th, 1811 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Mary's father was James Booth and her mother was Mary Shippobottom. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Booth and Ann Openshaw. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Thomas, Ann, Elizabeth and Sarah. She was the second oldest of the seven children.

- 22 Sep 1846, Mary married John Horrocks. In 1871, her sister Ann was living with them.
