James Booth

James was born in 1788 in Tonge-with-Haulgh and his baptism took place on January 27th, 1788 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

James' father was Thomas Booth and his mother was Ann Openshaw.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Booth and Catherine (Kat) Holt. He had two sisters named Mary and Ann.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 70 in 1858.
