Ann Booth

Ann was born in 1816 in Tonge-with-Haulgh and her baptism took place on August 11th, 1816 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Ann's father was James Booth and her mother was Mary Shippobottom.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Booth and Ann Openshaw. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Thomas, Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 72 in December 1888.  She was buried on December 14th, 1888 at Tonge-with-Haulgh Cemetery.²
