Georgina was born in July 1861 in Broxton and her baptism took place on July 21st, 1861 in Bickerton.1  Georgina's father was John Tomlinson Berkenhout and her mother was Margaret Tomlinson.  Her paternal grandparents were James Berkenhout and Elizabeth (Betty) Tomlinson; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Tomlinson and Martha Carr. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, William, Elizabeth, Amelia and Henrietta.  She was the second youngest of the seven known children.  She died at the age of 2 in June 1864 in Broxton.2
