Edith was born on November 29th, 1881 in Audenshaw and her baptism took place there on February 27th, 1884.¹²

Birth Notes

Edith's father was John Barstow and her mother was Mary Buckley. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Buckley and Patience (Patricia) Oldham. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John, Arundel, Beatrice, Florence and Ida. She was the second youngest of the six children.
