Her paternal grandparents were Richard SHIPLEY and Henrietta HUGHES. She had five brothers and two sisters, named William Preston, Benjamin Rush, Reuben Richard, Joseph Douty, George, Nancy Ann and Mary Susan. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Johnnie W., Eddie, Ellen Jane, Hannah Rettie, Lulla May and Etta Eliza. She died at the age of 54 on April 17th, 1897 in , Corydon, Wayne County, Iowa, USA. She was buried in Corder Cemetery, Corydon, Wayne County, Iowa, USA.2 3 -
