Johnnie W. was born in 1863 in Eddyville, Mahaska County, Iowa, USA.1 Johnnie W.'s father was Richard Shipley and his mother was Sarah Ann Fisher. His paternal grandparents were Richard SHIPLEY and Henrietta HUGHES. He had a brother and four sisters, named Eddie, Ellen Jane, Hannah Rettie, Lulla May and Etta Eliza. He was the oldest of the six children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William Preston, Benjamin Rush, Reuben Richard, Joseph Douty, George, Nancy Ann, Sarah Elizabeth and Mary Susan. He died at the age of 2 in 1865 in , Wayne County, Iowa, USA. He was buried in Cunningham Cemetery, , Wayne County, Iowa, USA.2 1 -
