Uhlma was born on April 10th, 1895 in Screven Co., GA.1 Uhlma's father was Robert L. Poythress and her mother was Evalina Evans. Her maternal grandparents were John Ruel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Lucas. She had two brothers and a sister, named Robert L., Carl C. and Lucille. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Willie, Mell, Mark, Joseph Ernest, Ernest E., Eva Jane and Agnes M.. She died at the age of 28 on January 10th, 1924.1 General Notes
