Robert L. was born on August 10th, 1890 in Screven Co., GA.1 Robert L.'s father was Robert L. Poythress and his mother was Evalina Evans. His maternal grandparents were John Ruel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Lucas. He had a brother and two sisters, named Carl C., Uhlma and Lucille. He was the oldest of the four children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Willie, Mell, Mark, Joseph Ernest, Ernest E., Eva Jane and Agnes M.. He died at the age of 62 on January 10th, 1953.1 General Notes
