Rebecca Mew 
Rebecca was born about 1827 in Beaufort Dist., SC.1 Rebecca's father was Macamee Mew and her mother was Ann Rutledge Smith. Her paternal grandfather was Philip Mew; her maternal grandparents were James Smith and Margaret Moore Sanders. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Samuel K., Henry, John Pringle, Abraham, Alexander C., Sarah Ann, Mary Margaret and Harriet Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the nine children.1 -
