Abraham Mew 
Abraham was born in 1822 in Beaufort Co., SC.1 Abraham's father was Macamee Mew and his mother was Ann Rutledge Smith. His paternal grandfather was Philip Mew; his maternal grandparents were James Smith and Margaret Moore Sanders. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Samuel K., Henry, John Pringle, Alexander C., Sarah Ann, Mary Margaret, Harriet Elizabeth and Rebecca. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.1 -
