Mary Margaret was born after 1819 in Beaufort Dist., SC.1 Mary Margaret's father was Macamee Mew and her mother was Ann Rutledge Smith. Her paternal grandfather was Philip Mew; her maternal grandparents were James Smith and Margaret Moore Sanders. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Samuel K., Henry, John Pringle, Abraham, Alexander C., Sarah Ann, Harriet Elizabeth and Rebecca. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died on May 14th, 1891 in Gainsville, Hall Co., GA.1 -
