Thomas William Messner 
Thomas William was born on February 22nd, 1848 in Bucyrus, OH.1 Thomas William's father was John Messner and his mother was Maria Clapper. His paternal grandparents were Christian Messner and Eleanora. He had a half-brother and six half-sisters, named Joseph John, Mary Ellen, Martha, Ida Belle, Margaret Jean, Harriet Dora and Jessie Jane. He died due to Generalized arteriosclorosis at the age of 89 on May 18th, 1937 in Pasadena, CA. He was buried in Cremated, Pasadena Mausoleum.1 1 General Notes

Bonnie Ave. The Messner-Steele house at 355 S. Holliston in Pasadena now belongs to the California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech).
