Ida Belle was born on October 14th, 1859 in Bucyrus, OH.1 Ida Belle's father was John Messner and her mother was Margaret Catherine Gardner. Her paternal grandparents were Christian Messner and Eleanora; her maternal grandparents were James Gardiner and Mary McGinnis. She had a brother and five sisters, named Joseph John, Mary Ellen, Martha, Margaret Jean, Harriet Dora and Jessie Jane. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother named Thomas William. She died due to Fatty degeneration of heart at the age of 89 on August 22nd, 1949 in Cleveland, OH. She was buried in Cremated, Cleveland Cremation Co..1 1 -
