Joseph John was born on August 2nd, 1869 in Bucyrus, OH.1 Joseph John's father was John Messner and his mother was Margaret Catherine Gardner. His paternal grandparents were Christian Messner and Eleanora; his maternal grandparents were James Gardiner and Mary McGinnis. He had six sisters named Mary Ellen, Martha, Ida Belle, Margaret Jean, Harriet Dora and Jessie Jane. He was the youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Thomas William. He died due to Coronary thrombosis at the age of 75 on March 28th, 1945 in Bucyrus, OH. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus, OH.1 1 -
