Martha Messner 
Martha was born in 1857.1 Martha's father was John Messner and her mother was Margaret Catherine Gardner. Her paternal grandparents were Christian Messner and Eleanora; her maternal grandparents were James Gardiner and Mary McGinnis. She had a brother and five sisters, named Joseph John, Mary Ellen, Ida Belle, Margaret Jean, Harriet Dora and Jessie Jane. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother named Thomas William.1 -
